- Working Mum
- I'm a working mum of three. That statement in itself is already loaded. Being a mum should be regarded as a job in and of itself, of course... but that phrase is always used to desribe someone who (possibly quite madly) undertakes paid work as well as the unpaid / highly versatile sort that comes under the general banner of 'mothering'. That's what I do. In the professional world I'm a publisher. Currently I am head of digital publishing for a major UK trade publishing house. That means working out how we old publishing dinos can bring ourselves into the 21st century with more aplomb than the music industry did. In my personal world my No. 1 role is as Mum to my three children, Eden (6), Nathan (3) and Ava (18 months). They are my world. I am married to a gorgeous old hippy called Paul, a man who distinguishes himself by refusing to conform to ... well anything really, by being almost entirely devoid of pomposity (unusual for a man) and by being possessed of a quite uniquely idealistic world view. I am outgoing (I talk too much and probably too loudly), sociable (I have an umanageable number of friends), a great organiser (control freak) and a terrible housewife.

Fantastic!! I am deeply impressed (and feeling really slack about all the shop-bought birthday cakes I've produced over the last few years). Good juggling!
That's amazing! I can't even get a cake to rise, let alone make something that looks like a castle. I am crossing my fingers that Rosemary only ever wants un-iced banana bread for her birthdays!
